We’re reporting this week from the LAUNCH Food Forum in San Francisco. We’re here with our Innovators and the LAUNCH Food Council, a 50-strong group of experts, strategists, and decision-makers from across the food system who are committed to helping create a healthier world through innovation. Council Members will be asked to provide feedback, suggestions, and offers of support in five key areas: capital, capacity, connectivity, credibility, and creativity. The conversations may revolve around questions of development, market strategy, networking, and more.
With the LAUNCH Food challenge, we called for supply- or demand-side innovations with the potential to improve health outcomes by enabling people to make healthy food choices. 280 innovators from 74 countries answered our call for applications, and our panel of expert reviewers helped us choose 11 of the most promising innovations. Now, we’re ready to see those innovations succeed.
The LAUNCH team will be posting updates and livestreaming from the Forum throughout this week. Follow us on the hashtag #LAUNCHFood on Twitter and Facebook to hear from our Innovators and Council Members. LAUNCH Food is a partnership with the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, the U.S. Agency for International Development, and a broad cross-sector network of key opinion leaders and industry players. We take a people-centered approach to action across the whole of the food system.
