LAUNCH INNOVATION CHALLENGE 2017
In this year’s Innovation Challenge, LAUNCH searched for innovators with potential to make history through new ways of design and manufacturing for a circular economy. LAUNCH searched for innovations that could provide solutions to the following challenge:

WHAT IS LAUNCH NORDIC?
LAUNCH Nordic unites partners willing to move beyond competitive innovations, instead engaging in collaborative innovation and systems mobilization.
The core partners behind LAUNCH Nordic are IKEA Group, Novozymes, Kvadrat, The Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, The Danish Environmental Protection Agency and Region Skåne.
It was founded in 2014 in collaboration with LAUNCH, a strategic partnership between NIKE, NASA, The U.S. Department of State and The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), with the goal of harnessing the strengths of the Nordic region to accelerate innovation in sustainable materials.
Global Call for Innovators
Each year, LAUNCH Nordic partners call on innovators from around the world to address a major global sustainability challenge. People from a diverse range of sectors are welcome to submit ideas: technical experts, government officials, academics, and industry players throughout the value chain.
Invitation to LAUNCH Forum
Up to 10 innovators are then invited to the LAUNCH acceleration program. They will present their innovations at the LAUNCH Nordic Forum to a council made up of leading industry and government representatives, materials experts, and investors.
Acceleration Process
Following the LAUNCH Nordic Forum, innovators will enter an accelerator program where they will have access to mentoring, networking opportunities, and key investors to enable them to bring their innovations to scale.
