Ms. Hartwell is an analytical chemist, recently retired from the Environmental Protection Agency as a Senior Policy Advisor in the Office of Resource Conservation and Recovery. At EPA, her work focused on the lifecycle relationship between climate change and end-of-life materials management. Ms. Hartwell has worked extensively with the private sector to communicate the climate – materials management connection, and to develop strategies for sustainable material management, especially in the packaging and retail sectors. Currently, she is consulting on resource conservation issues.
