Peter is an architect currently based in Beijing, were he serves as head of architecture for Atkins in China. In this role Peter is currently leading the design teams on projects including high rise towers, large mixed use urban building complexes, hotels, corporate headquarters and cultural buildings. Within China Peter is working with colleagues to establish a sustainability thread which connects development policy, city planning, infrastructure, urban design, building design, construction and operations.
Prior to joining Atkins Peter was a Partner with Foster + Partners, based in London and Istanbul. During this time he led projects ranging from a business school in London to the world’s largest tent structure in Kazakhstan.
Peter approaches architecture as a collaborative process which integrates engineering and sustainability specialists from the outset of a project. He believes that innovation arises from approaching each project with a blank page and by carrying ideas across a wide range of building types.
