Kevin O’Donnell is Nike’s Global Director of Environmental Sustainability and leads efforts to drive waste, water and chemical stewardship in Nike’s manufacturing supply chain. The vision is full conversion of raw materials and natural resources into finished product with any excess reutilized as feedstock through Closed Loop Innovation. Based at the company’s USA headquarters since August 2009, he spends about a quarter of his time on the ground with a local field team now numbering 10 professional staff as well as factory partners in Nike’s various production countries.
Prior to this, Kevin was Regional Environmental Engineering Manager for Nike’s Footwear business and was based in Vietnam and China for 5+ years. He also has experience in management consulting where he advised private sector clients on operational improvement, growth strategy and international market entry/expansion. Kevin began his career working with manufacturers on waste and pollution prevention as well as on development of new industrial recycling markets.
