Eli Schoen is the Energy Manager for NASA Kennedy Space Center and holds the responsibility of managing KSC energy accounts, ensuring compliance with federal energy legislature, and assisting with energy matters across the space center. Eli has a background in facility infrastructure, planning and design holding a bachelor degree in Architecture from the University of Kentucky and a Masters degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Central Florida. Eli is a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional (LEED AP) as well as a Certified Energy Manager (CEM) and his professional interests concentrate on sustainable development and urban planning. His interest in energy management is finding a balance between sustainable development and good financial return and welcomes the challenge of renewable energy development.
