Dr. David Kim is the R&D Manager at Vestergaard. He is responsible for next-generation and new product innovations for public health and food security applications. David received his PhD in Environmental Sciences and Engineering, with a minor in Epidemiology, from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. His doctoral thesis involved the design of mathematical models to simulate the uptake of chemicals across human skin for therapeutic and risk assessment applications. He continued research in this field as a Fellow at Harvard University, studying biological response to nanoparticle and air toxic exposures. David has collaborated with US Environmental Protection Agency scientists on the development and application of physiologically-based pharmacokinetic models for quantifying the kinetic behavior of chemicals, as well as with faculty across multiple universities in the US and European Union.
