Daniel Carter has been investing in and financing renewables, conventional fossil power generation, energy efficiency and other energy technology areas since 1998. He is currently Principal at Conduit Ventures, a low-carbon energy fund backed by Shell, Mitsubishi, Goldman Sachs, Kuwaiti Petroleum Company and others. Prior to Conduit, which he joined in 2003, Daniel worked with Citigroup where he was a founding member of the European Power Technology group with clients including Iberdrola, Gamesa, REpower Systems AG, Hoechst, TXU, GE, and others. He previously worked for Heller Financial Corporation (now GE Capital). Daniel holds a dual MBA from Columbia Business School and London Business School, a B.S. from Georgetown University School of Foreign Service and an M.A. from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. He has also studied at the Universität Wien in Vienna and Universität Mannheim and speaks fluent German. He is a dual national of the USA & UK and is an Advisory Board Member of the London Business School Energy Club.
