Ali is Head of Strategy and Editorial for the Jamie Oliver Food Foundation. She was previously a strategic planner with global advisory and advertising firms’ the Brunswick Group and JWT’s social purpose and innovation practice. In 2013, she was awarded the Munk School of Global Affairs Fellowship in Global Journalism at the University of Toronto. Through that work and as a freelance journalist thereafter, her work has been published in The New York Times, The Globe and Mail, The National Post (Canada), Reuters (based out of bureaus in London, Istanbul and Washington, D.C.), and the two news services of the Thomson Reuters Foundation: AlertNet and Trust.org. She has produced business news for broadcast by CBC News. Ali lives in London and can be found running, attached to her laptop or getting lost in the depths of Borough market’s cheese stalls.
