Mikkel Vestergaard Frandsen is the CEO and owner of Vestergaard, a global company he has structured around a humanitarian entrepreneurship business model. Vestergaard is a major contributor to public health, food security, safe drinking water, climate change and rural electrification. For his positive impact, Mikkel has been honored by the Economist with the Social and Economic Innovation Award, elected to the “Women Deliver 100” list of the most influential people contributing to the health of women and girls. The Luhya tribe of western Kenya made Mikkel an elder, a rare, important honor for foreigners who have touched the lives of Kenyans in an extraordinary manner. He is 42 years old and lives in Lausanne, Switzerland.
