Mark Bernstein

 

Dr. Bernstein is Senior Vice President at MWW Group and the leading member of the firm’s Clean Tech and Sustainability practice. Mark works with private and public sector clients to develop strategic initiatives for managing their environmental and energy issues. In addition to crafting integrated marketing and communications plans for domestic and global clients, Mark directs MWW’s work helping institutions develop both economic and environmental sustainability strategies.
Prior to joining MWW Group, Mark was managing director of the University of Southern California’s Energy Institute and a Professor of the Practice of Political Science. In this role, Mark facilitated research across the USC campus and worked to engage government and corporate executives in discussions about energy and environmental research at USC.
Prior to USC, Mark spent eight years as a senior policy researcher at the RAND Corporation. Previously, Mark served for two years as the senior energy policy analyst for the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy in the Executive Office of the President. As senior energy policy analyst, he worked on the Administration’s climate change technology strategy and helped to create a public-private partnership with the housing industry.
He is a Board Member of Global Clean Energy Holdings, an advisor to OnGreen.com, and Pegasus Capital Advisors. Mark holds a Ph.D. in Energy Management and Policy from the University of Pennsylvania and a Masters and Bachelors in Mathematics.
