David Anthony

 

David Anthony is an experienced entrepreneur, venture capitalist, and educator focused on clean technologies. Since founding 21Ventures in 2004, the fund has provided, capital to more than 40 clean technology ventures across the globe. David Anthony sits on the board of 21V portfolio companies including: BioPetroClean, ETV Energy and Gravity Power. David also serves on the board of directors of publicly traded companies including: Solar EnerTech and ThermoEnergy Corporation. Exits include Advanced Telemetry LLC, GreenRaySolar, Inc and 3GSolar, Ltd.
From 2003 to 2011, David Anthony was an Instructor at the New York Academy of Sciences (NYAS). The Academy brings together scientists of different disciplines to advance the understanding of science, technology, and medicine, and to stimulate new ways to think about how their research is applied in society. The Academy is widely recognized as one of the world’s foremost organizers of scientific conferences and symposia. David’s students at the Academy hail from as Columbia, NYU, Princeton, Yale, Rockefeller University, Sloan Kettering, and the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. During this period, David annually taught the course: “From Idea to IPO -- the technology venture”.
In 2009 , David was an adjunct Professor at the NYU Stern School of business and in 2010 and 2011, David was Distinguished Scholar at Queens University in Belfast, Northern Ireland. David is an entrepreneurship mentor at Columbia University Graduate school of Business, where in 2002 he received the Mentor of the Year Award.
Previously, Mr. Anthony, collaborated with Dartmouth College professor Dr. John K. Shank and consulted for Fortune 500 clients on capital investments, mergers and acquisitions, and entrepreneurship.
David received his MBA from The Amos Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College in 1989 and a BA in economics from George Washington University in 1982.
