Carlos leads Larta’s efforts to design and launch commercialization programs for agency partners (NIH, USDA, NSF, NIST) that accelerate the societal and economic impact of R&D investments in startups and applied research. Internationally, he supports Larta projects with regions/governments to enhance the global networks and competitiveness of entrepreneurs. Carlos oversees Larta’s Industry Advisory Board; a team of senior tech scouts across diverse technology sectors that support Larta’s mission. Previously, he was with Firstlook.com, an idealab! digital media startup. Carlos has a B.S. degree in Marketing from Cal State University, Northridge and an MBA from the University of Southern California.
